About the Author
Urban Spirit! is an African American owned company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Started in 1993 by Mel Banks II, its first product the Children of Color Holy Bible in the KJV, which has sold more than 600,000 copies, followed by the Women of Color Study Bible now in its 4th printing. Urban Spirit! works to build self-esteem in young people by developing Bibles and Bible related materials that promote an interest in the African presence in the Bible.
