Description

In the wake of COVID-19, we have lost loved ones in the most unexpected and unanticipated ways. How do you find the words to explain to your children that a person they love dearly is no longer with us? Motivated by the loss of her own grandmother, navigates grief and loss in her debut children’s book, Homegoing.

When a young girl loses her grandmother, she doesn’t understand at first. With the help of her mother she learns to accept this devastating truth and the emotions that follow. Through color and imagination this young girl explores her grief and comes to the realization that it’s okay to feel sad. In time, her feelings of heartache will fade, but the memory of her grandmother will live.
